FUNCTIONSVitamin C is an antioxidant that is required for at least 300 metabolic functions in the body including tissue growth and repair, adrenal function, immune function and healthy gums.
Many factors increase the body’s demand for vitamin C and respond well to increased intake.
- Smoking and environmental pollutants.
- Stress from anxiety, infection, injury, surgery, burns or fatigue.
- Prolonged use of antibiotics, cortisone, aspirin or other pain killers.
- Pesticide or petroleum fumes.
- Sulfa drugs double or triple urinary loss of C.
- Hypoglycemia and high protein diets.
- Any condition that elevates serum copper including schizophrenia, smoking, oral contraceptives, menstruation and the last months of pregnancy.
- With age, the sex glands develop a greater need for vitamin C and draw it from other tissues.
- Cancer patients normally have low C levels.
INDICATIONS C-4000 may be a useful dietary supplement for individuals wishing to supplement their diet with Vitamin C.
SUGGESTED USE To reconstitute, add one teaspoon to 6oz. of fruit juice, vegetable juice, or water and stir until dissolved. Drink immediately.
